TREMBLAY (artist) VINTAGE HOOKED RUG - A HOUSE IN SNOW
George Edouard TREMBLAY (1902-1987) was a Canadian artist from Quebecwhose studio during the 1940-50's produced fine hooked rugs notable for their winter landscape imagery and distinctive wide borders hooked in a different direction from the body of the rug as if the image was framed, all part of the design. One of two complementary Trembley snow scenes in inventory right now; they would be impressive displayed together in a home, ask us for a combined price. Trembley rugs are infrequently found.
