SCHOOLHOUSE SURROUNDED WITH WHITE ROSES ANTIQUE HOOKED RUG
Unique to my experience seeing thousands of hooked rugs, this was probably an actual portrait of a New England building, either something public like the town hall, or maybe a Victorian Gothic edifice that was home to the rug hooker. There is a long staircase in brown at the center front of the imposing tall and towered building. Full blown mostly white roses border the building portrait. Where? What? Nothing is known about it except that it was collected in Maine.
