An intricate pattern in fresh colors. Each strip of the 'stair step' is ombre'd in shading and executed perfectly to carry the colors diagonally throughout the length of the rug. This is a pattern that was commercially available to hook oneself; I have another in a shorter version, but I have seen so few others - it was probably too complicated to tackle! The use of light medium and dark tones in addition to the ombre;d shading give a feeling of dimension to the pattern as if it was truly an interwoven textile.
