Count and count again, some of the postage stamp size groupings united by color are pieced of 30 squares, and others contain 36 little squares, which suggests a child may actually have put it together, rather than an adult who might have been concerned with symmetry. Lovely late 19th century print and stripe in just two fabrics combined.
