More than 5|000 one-inch diamonds comprise this explosive graphic design. Concentric octagons of color emerge from the late-19th century calico prints. Eight narrow pieced "spokes" radiate from the center thanks to skilled handling by the quiltmaker. The inner border has eight rows of diamonds in dark country prints| framed with an outer border of Lancaster yellow print. This quilt is now featured in our exhibition at the New England Quilt Museum in Lowell| Massachusetts called THRILLED TO PIECES| from Jan 24 thru April 2 (see news).
