Ladies from Ohio, Michigan, and Indiana contributed to this signature quilt. Probably made as a gift for someone whose name might be among those in it. The embroidered names are signed from many towns and different states; how they are related in unknown. The fabrics are sunny 1930-40s household and dress prints. The palette is easy to live with and the signed stars are most charming to read. Exhibited January 2012 at the TOKYO DOME INTERNATIONAL QUILT FESTIVAL in a show of hexagonal pieced quilts called ETERNALPIECE, along with others from our collection.
