It is so refreshing to see a classic pattern experimented with in an eye catching variation. In this case the Log Cabin blocks are truly light on the one half through the use of solid white. The alternating 'dark' is comrpised of solid cottons in red, yellow, green and blue. Probably 99% of log cabin examples are made with printed fabrics, whether cotton or wool. Note the placement of the 'hearth' squares and the solid strips 'outlining' them to demonstrate an added motif within the diagonal pattern. Crisp, untouched condition
