| SOLD Rich,lush, wonderful to the touch, and many more adjectives could hardly describe the luxurious 'hand' of the late 19th century silk velvets in this quilt. Solid jewel tones in small pieces about 1" square. Was there a design plan to the placement of the colors? Somewhat but not as an overall concept; instead the small four-patch diamond became a modernist graphic, a happy accident rather than a painterly plan.
