TEACHING QUILT - LETTERS AND KID'S MOTIFS
| This one-of-a-kind 'sampler' contains appliqued letters and pictorial images possibly intended to teach a child. Because this is not the entire alphabet| the letters probably represent initials of people important to the maker or recipient. The appliques are fashioned from printed cottons of the era| sewn to a denim-like work clothes twill sky blue background. The edge is blanket stitched in red thread. Wish we had more information on the who and why of it| but it arrived anonomously. SOLD
