A so-called SAMPLER pieced quilt exhibiting various pieced pattern blocks, unusual because it is made all of silks rather than the more traditional cotton. Twenty different squares, with one a silk American parade flag; others are recognizable geometric pieced patterns - and some are true 'crazy' blocks -- presenting an eye catching combination of favored quilt patterns of the late Victorian era. Black velvet border. Minor breakage.
