STRING SQUARES PIECED ANTIQUE QUILT TOP
String pattern quilt making typically involves creating the structure of the block on a foundation, in this case it's old papers from catalogues. These give a clue as to the age of the top. Cottons prints and weaves from the early 20th century are combined in the various squares, separated by a 'mourning' print era grey print sashing. Use as is with the papers remaining in, or easily removable if you want to finish the top.
