| Terrific array of late 19th century lightweight, beautiful wools in warm colors. So many 1" narrow strips in this quilt that it is likely the maker was a seamstress or factory worker with access to lots of scraps. It's a format that is not difficult to piece, but I haven't seen another one so graphic. The diagonal rows enliven the straight rows, and the small scale, and border, all contribute to the quilt's special appeal.
