Studious piecing of a multitude of little four patch groupings that were arranged with careful color placement produced a dynamic geometric design with diagonal angled lines of color traversing the busy field. Each piece is one inch, cut from harmonious late 19th c cotton prints in deep earth tones highlighted with white. All that energy is contained within a white pieced zigzag border all around. A tour de force of design using the simplest of piecing.
