| One enormous centered Star pattern that is likely a regional design emanating from Lancaster County,, PA Amish and Mennonite communities. The large star fills the quilt surface with 8 'arms' each made from one piece of fabric, not the many small diamonds as seen in other large scale stars. Smaller stars fill the corners and half voids between the arm points.The sophisticated palette is subdued and elegant - green and deep red figured woolens of monochrome jacquard 'damask' weaves. I have had this pattern only twice before and then in cotton.
