They are pieced of classic Pennsylvania printed calicoes in rich rusts and green with yellow accents. Color may appear more brown on the screen, is actually a pine green overall. The 5-row outside border has a mottled green due to unstable dyes, but this does not detract from the overall collectibility and interest of this special quilt.
