IRISH CHAIN EVENING STARS ANTIQUE QUILT
One of the most classic antique quilt patterns has been elevated by piecing in an Evening Stars pattern where there would otherwise be an unaccented white diamond within the lattice. More complex than most, this features red, green, yellow brown and white from the third quarter of the 19th century. The combination of the two patterns resulted in a variety of geometric elements to appreciate, including what appear to be white arrow forms pointing inward to the stars.
