This is only the second example I have ever encountered with this graphic geometric format done in a silk Victorian quilt. A skillfully executed composition in terms of the piecing and the juxtaposition of light and dark tones that creates the bands of the concentric diamonds. Beautifully embroidered throughout, with metallic threads and florals. Minor erosion in several of the small triangles that comprise the diamond bands. Narrow golden velvet binding.
