A very special larger hooked rug with an interesting variety in the foot-square squares, a lovely palette, and fine quality workmanship. Neither the floral nor geometric motifs predominate; they seem to be equally balanced so that the rug is versatile for use in different interior design schemes and reads gender neutral. Probably a Pearl McGown type New England design judging from the fineness of the hooking. Details shown here.
