By setting the pieced House motifs in a dark blue surroudning| the quilt has the appearance of houses at night| a refreshing change from the tradtional light setting. The houses are mostly plaids and checks in early 20thj century "weash" dress cottons. The blue is a real Maxfield Parrish twilight color.
