Rich industry adorns the mind....... starts the lengthy and charming verse sewn in black thread. The format is.interesting with an arch over it all, and individual letters scattered around the border, and a sampling of darning stitchery in blocks across the bottom. This looks like the beginning of a sampler that was intended to have more, but........just as we do today, it was begun and put aside.
