The stars in red white and blue are actually cotton bunting material that would have been used to hang or to drape around the house at a time of patriotic celebration. This ephemeral material has been well preserved by incorporating it into a child size quilt, rather than leaving the yardage in a box to be forgotten. Nice array of varying stars enlivens the material.
