A charming and rare discovery found in Washington State but actually from the Pennsylvania Schwenkfelder community. Blocks are embroidered with a variety of wild grasses probably seen and collected by the maker. Grid sashing frames the blocks, pieced of a glorious twilight blue that is well complemented by the brown. Dated 1874, but not signed, definitely attributed to that small religious community. Savored for years in my own collection, now available to the public
