There is a strong positive/negative graphic created by cutting an elliptical slice from two different shades of green and joining the opposites together first into squares and alternating their placement. The quilt is made of the humblest material - cotton natural color feedsacking that was home dyed in two shades of green with a bit of yellow; traces of the labels printed on the sacks is visible in snippets of the top with more on the back.
