Remarkable triumph of piecework; impossible to count. Don't know how many thousands of tiny 1/2 inch diamonds comprise the overall quilt but as you can see in the photo the blocks were precisely executed with a tiny starred indigo, red, and white conveying the patriotic message. Has been used and laundered, so there is a nice patina to the coloration. There is minor erosion in just a few of the white diamonds along a couple of edges, and maybe one or two slight ly frayed white diamonds within the body of the quilt. The issues are restorable if you feel so inclined, but I don't think these affect the still astonishing graphic and artisinal impact
