Circa 1990 with the center having a field of blue calico eight-pointed stars with a vine surround on a white ground, surrounded by large borders of vining flowers with two handled vases at each corner, each border alternating in colors, all hand quilted. A reproduction of the Smithsonian's Great Seal pattern. The original was made in 1808 by Rebecca Foster. A limited edition of this quilt was issued by the museum as part of a program to offer the public reproductions of several unique pieces in their collection.
