FLYING GEESE 'BARS' ANTIQUE CRIB QUILT, corner leaves, red and white

Unusual mid-19th century charmer is a scaled-down version of a classic pattern. Made special thanks to the thoughtful accent of leaves appliqued in the four corners. An 1840s-50s red print is the sole color used for the piecing; the leaves are turning from original green to oxidized khaki, a process that happens with age and light exposure. All original. Outline quilting at the piecing only, not in the white white areas; thin or no batting.
