It is most unusual to find a woolen 'counterpane' like this, pieced in an intricate pattern and beautifully quilted as in the best linsey woolseys of early New England heritage. Fine glazed red and green woolens are bordered on three sides with an elaborate quilting design (lower charcoal border was accidentally left out of large photo, but it is the same as the two side borders. The term for such a cut out quilt is counterpane. In remarkably good condition with a few insignificant moth dings. Measurements will be take-- as I recall about 100" wide.
