Uncommon variation in which the blocks are set as a square, not on point as a diamonds, thereby creating a different variation that alternates the ''Light and Dark'. 1/2" narrow strips in warm earth tones, violet, rosy wool challis prints for the darker squares, contrasting with lighter challis prints in the alternating squares. Bordered on all four sides with solid light camel wool (inadvertently cropped out on the left). That pattern twist created diagonal lines that traverse the entire quilt surface in a lively fashion. Heavier batting than typical wool challis logs make this a cosy and refreshing variation to add to your collection.
