Different from the traditional whitework quilt design, this one has fascinating graphic appeal thanks to its rows of trapunto work -- circular wreaths separated by serpentine rows that border it all around. In most other whiteworks, the needlework is organized around a center medallion format. This is exceptional, exquisite early quilting. Timeless visual appeal. Quickly photographed outdoors so that sunlight from behind would illuminate the quilting patterns. In person the piece is all white; the darker areas in the photo reveal the interior batting.
