JULIA ROCKEFELLER NYState ANTIQUE JACQUARD COVERLET red
Doing geneological research now to determine the relationship of Julia Rockefeller to the Rockefeller clan. She lived in the Hudson valley area where the family originated. The superby executed design has a bold center medallion perfectly aligned at the center seam that relates to published designs of NYState weavers Ira Hadsell and Van Ness of Palmyra, a mid Hudson locale. In the rarer red and white palette, this is a special find. Minor catches at the border do not detract from the overall beauty and rarity of this early example
