Uncommon variation in which the blocks are set as square, not on point as diamonds, creating a different 'Light and Dark' variation. 1/2" narrow strips in all the blocks -- warm earth tones, violet and rosy wool challis prints in the darker squares, lighter challis prints in alternating squares. Bordered on all four sides with solid light camel wool (inadvertently cropped out on the left). That pattern twist created diagonal lines that traverse the entire quilt surface in a lively fashion. Heavier batting than typical wool challis logs make this a cosy and refreshing variation to add to your collection.
