Amazing work -- narrow gauge unbelievably durable marine rope was first crocheted, then those lengths braided into a room size marvel. A nice touch is the scalloped crochet edge in charcoal framing the whole rug. All the ovals are "outlined" to add a dynamic quality that emphasizes the technique.
